I joined the company as a Senior Developer, before eventually assuming responsibility over the entire team from the previous manager. Currently lead a team of three developers in building systems key to expanding of the business in addition to bespoke work for customers. • Re-building of the corporate website using Wordpress and a bespoke PHP/MySQL framework to deliver improved SEO performance, user interface and functionality.
• GPS to PostCode lookup service for locating a users nearest office.
• PHP based error tracking and reporting system.
• Dyamic map using the Google API to display the locations of clients and company offices around the country.
• User interface design for a Zend based client portal, providing customers with CRM functionality, monitoring, remote support, and online payment management.
• Advised on a system of SVN repositories to manage the development, rollout and maintainence of web applications.

Also work closely in this role with business partners to deliver on joint projects, such as the integration of a new monitoring and remote management platform.

• Sole Web Developer, working on the live external website and a great many intranet systems.
• Live Website:
  • Maintain and progressively upgrade the live external website. This includes collecting viewer letters, processing press requests, and poll results. Regular updates to the site include: adding downloadable content, adding press releases, collating and uploading articles/letters, and improving site performance.
• Intranet systems include:
  • Project Management/Bug Tracking (nicknamed “RobTrack”)
  • Who’s Where – A live, AJAX powered dynamic map of the company, and where each person is sat.
  • Who’s Who – Designed for new starters to recognise other employees and to find them in the quickly. This system also acted as the phone (VoIP) and email database. With an AJAX powered control panel, and photo manipulation.
  • Build Status Viewer – Live and archived statistics on the nightly build of games.
  • Multiple Server Process Log Viewer – A GUI interface for artists to see the progress of their task, stretched across multiple servers.
  • IP Tracker/Control – Designed to keep track of all computers in the company (300+), and what IP addresses are still available.
